농부과학자 이동현 박사가 직접 모심기부터 추수까지 하면서 개발한 발아현미로 밥을 지어내는 밥집이다. 폐교한 곡성의 초등학교를 개조하여 주변에 논두렁 뷰를 자랑하는 밥카페로 채식메뉴 코스와 연잎간장보쌈을 곁들여 먹음 웬만한 고급 한정식 코스보다 더 나은 듯 하다. 평소 먹는 쌀에 대해 고민이 있는 사람이나 좀 더 나은 밥을 먹고 싶다하는 사람은 꼭 방문해봐야하는 소중한 곳이다. 식사를 마치고 바로 옆에 있는 카페에서 계산을 하면 되는데 차 한 잔하게됨 할인도 된다. 여기서 발아현미쌀이나 기타 쌀로 만든 먹거리를 할인된 가격에 구입가능하다. TMI로 미실란 대표이신 이동현박사를 주제로 "아름다움은 지키는 것이다"를 쓴 김탁환 작가님이 여기서 작품을 집필하고 있다.

정성스럼고 건강한 음식을 먹을 수 있는 곳. 식재료 하나 하나에 진심이 느껴짐. 음식에 간이 약하고 조미료가 없어 음식맛이 심심하다고 느낄 수 있음. 깔끔하고 친절함.
